And I made it into the Sarnia observer! Along with 2 of my buddies!

Here's a video with a couple scenes with myself and Mike wandering around in full gear. [link]
Yup. My little town is having it's very first comic book convention thingy. This weekend on the 24th. So far most of the "celebrities" that will be there are ones I honestly haven't heard of. But thats ok since it's our first one ever. I've been getting my Mandalorian armour rebuilt! Scratch built helmet and everything. Fingers crossed for getting it put together on time. There will be lots of pics when it's finished.
Little late. Get over it. Started snowing Christmas Eve while we were watching White Christmas! We were not expecting it. Ahh, to throw snowballs again. I find it disheartening that no one believes in winter magic anymore. Yes, you have be careful on the roads, obviously. Drive like a maniac and you kinda have it coming. But there is much beauty there... and something special to it.

I've had a great Christmas, Yule, Holiday, whatever. Hope you all have to. Yes, even you.
At least I got to see the Hobbit again with super cute girl (that I realized I'd been friends with for a decade now) before the world ends. There's far worse ways to meet Doom. Wouldn't have minded a better last Hockey game... 2-7 loss just sucks.

Lemme see... I regret losing touch with certain people I care about. Usually over something stupid I did or straight over my head. I'm sorry for that.  All in all, not the worst life I could lead. Lots of friends, awesome family, I managed to get laid ;) (albeit a while ago...) Have lived to see some of the greatest movies ever created. I learned how to skate and play hockey at the ripe old age of 22. Scored three goals and decided canon fodder was more fun to play as.

Now to hang out with my brother.
Wake up at 7. Meet nerd friends at diner from breakfast at 8ish. Eat french toast, with three glasses of chocolate milk.
Drive to London for 11:45am showing of the Hobbit, while listening to Star Wars soundtrack, and talking typical geek stuff. Wander Masonville Mall before movie. Go to movie (reserved Imax seating. Though some people had to fight over that) Watch 9 minute scene from Star Trek Into Darkness. OMG I can't wait for the movie. No way in HELL the villain is Khan. Just doesn't make sense.
Hobbit starts and I have goosebumps and tingles almost throughout the entire thing. 3 hours of bliss. Hilarious, interesting characters. Epic battle scenes. Faster paced than the LOTR movies. Definitely going to see it again.
Movie done. Wander mall. Look for Christmas presents for people. Buy a plushie of the original Enterprise for my niece. Go to supper with friends.  All in all, amazing day.
What an awesome late birthday present! Haha! Here's a Japanese trailer (It's in english with jap subtitles and an extra scene at the end the Canadian/American version doesnt)

For $4 Billion!!!

It has become painfully apparent that I've been neglecting my followers of art. So I stumbled upon this little (MASSIVE) challenge to draw all 151 Pokemon started from Bulbasaur and working my way up to Mew. (NONE OF THE OTHERS COUNT)
A fan made Star Wars animation about TIE Fighters. And the second Hobbit Trailer. Don't say I never give you anything.

I've had her for about 2-3 years. Has served me faithfully until this week. Tried it on both my machines and it's doing the same thing. It keeps thinking my stylus is touching the surface when it's not. So when I lift my pen off and go draw somewhere else, it keeps drawing. It used to act just like a pencil. Didn't mark if it didn't touch. Plain and simple. I changed the tip, but that did nothing. Any ideas?
Looks like as of yesterday I am an uncle. My 18 year old sister who ran away from home in october to live with her bf, breaking my families hearts, dropping out of high school and got pregnant, now has a little girl who I think she named Tarja. (Tah-ree-ah) Haven't seen the baby yet, probably will today. Family's trying to be supportive while at the same time resisting the urge to kick that son a bitch's ass. Seems to be cuter than he is though. Thank the Force...
Aside from a little wind sending a couple of my prints for a free flight across the street I had a blast this weekend. Sold out of 4 different sets of pics. And more than made back the money I spend for this thing. I loved finally getting to see friends who like to hide under rocks or live too damn far away and haven't seen for months. All... 4 of them. ;)  I'd definitely do it again. I'll know to be better prepared next time.
Art fart. Kinda like a brain fart, except it rhymes.

I'll be selling some artwork at artwalk in Sarnia this year, and I can barely find any inspiration to work on new stuff. I sit here staring at my latest Batman WIP and try to get something going, but I just feel tired and just not excited about it...
Yep. Just like that. I've got a job working at the only trophy store in lambton county. I start today in about an hour. Dad hugged me 3 times when I told him that. I'll be doing mostly engravings for awards and things right now. Not much artwork will be required yet, but that's ok.
Given the popularity of Star Wars Clone Wars tv show. I decided it would be beneficial for me to add some drawings based on that show. As you can see with my Ahsoka drawing.

I'm interested to know which of the Clone troopers/commanders/etc people like the most from the show. Rex, Cody, etc.
Never in my younger years would I have had this much difficulty in making a decision between something Star Wars related, and hockey.

And this vintage style goalie blocker.  [link]

I'm sure the majority of you would say go with the model! Yay! Honestly last year there would've been no contest. But I have at least 12 unfinished model kits on the works, with all the renovations we've been doing to our basement (we now have a bar!!!) the work area is a disaster. The model has recently been restocked on that site. So I can get it later. I've been working with my dad a lot on construction sites. So I'm ok.

I chose the goalie blocker glove. It was tough, but it's something I'll be able to actually use for the rest of my life. I love hockey. I love being goalie. And my dad's face just lit up when I mentioned it was the vintage style blocker from the 60's and 70's. The kind he wore when he played in high school.

I'll get the model eventually anyways. ;)

My artwork has taken 23 years to get to where it is now. I'm constantly improving. It takes a lot of time to dish out what I do. Especially my colour pics. I have to make money in a world where jobs are scarce.

Here's the deal. I just graduated from College. Twice. I'm poor and money is needed to pay off debt and to buy me cool stuff.

No, not the character from Star Wars. We named our second budgie Padme after said character when we got her about 12 or so years ago.  We found her today under my brother's bed, lying down. I got her out and she was cold. We wrapped her up in a thick warm towel and will bury her.

Her favourite food was pizza off our plates. Her favourite place to crap was on our heads. :P

We will miss you...
Let's start with the grouchy old fart, shall we? Yes? Good.

I went skating at one of the arenas here today. 60+ people all skating in the same direction around the outside. Which usually leaves the inside clear for practice other things, like skating backwards and whatnot. So that's what I'm doing. I'm skating in the opposite direction around the face off circle. I slipped. 81 year old man comes up to me and starts telling to skate like everyone else so we wont fall over me... or something retarded like that. Then another man comes around and tells him to lay off cause I'm trying to learn, and tells him to stop cutting through the middle on turns to begin with.

Next, the Long Overdue Apology.

I'm a geeky little red headed nerd. You ALL know this. As you can guess I got teased by the "cool kids" in public school and high school. A lot. I had buck teeth, played with Star Wars and Star Trek toys, dug in the dirt on the playground for fossils! I was every cool kid bully's dream target.  Obviously I've moved on with my life. Met awesome people in college. Just today, one of the many guys who picked on me apologized. "...I wouldn't expect you to forgive me or any of us assholes who gave you a hard time. But just so you know I'm sorry for all the teasing and shit."

:)

Stupid old people.
